An incomplete early medieval copper alloy strapend, (Thomas Class A, Type 1) with silver applique and niello decoration dating c. AD 800-925. Only the top third of the strapend survives including the split attachment end with a worn transverse break at the opposing end. Both the front and reverse of the strapend are covered with very worn and thin silver sheet applique. A complete silver hooked tag (Lewis and Naylor Type B1.e.iii) of early medieval date (c.800-900). Description: The hooked tag is triangular in plan with a trilobate attachment end, each lobe perforated with a circular hole. The centre lobe is wider than the two which flank it and between these are triangular protrusions or knops. At the hook are transverse grooves at the juncture between the plate and hook. A slightly worn and abraded Post-Medieval gold and niello/enamel 'memento mori' type mourning-ring, likely dating soon after 23rd of June 1668 and commemorating Mrs. Jane Brodnax. An incomplete, cast, copper-alloy strap end with silver studs and silver front plate, dating to the Early Medieval period. Description: The strap-end has slightly convex sides, the terminal is missing and the split end is damaged, with one of two rivet holes preserved and the other broken halfway across its diameter. Below the rivets is a moulded ‘trilobate palmette’ motif. The main panel of the strap end is decorated with a silver applique which has been fixed with four, circular silver rivets placed in the centre of each side. An incomplete cast copper alloy central portion of a post medieval purse bar c.1450-1550. Consisting of a rectangular block (18.6 x 21.1 mm) with a drilling to accept a rod with in tegral supension loopand just one part of an 19,6mm arm remaining. The central block has a letter W on one side, typical of class A1 (Williams 2018, 2), and an illegible circular design on the other, both likely originally inlaid with niello. The arm has decoration of a tudor rose within a circle Weight 27.6g. Similar to published records SF-D7FD28 and LVPL2430.
