Copper-alloy strap-end of Thomas's Class A, type 1, with two silver rivets.
Description: The strap-end is made from a piece of copper alloy a maximum of 2.4mm thick, with a split at the attachment end. The attachment end is shaped around two well-preserved shiny silver rivets. Below these is a worn semi-circular or fan-shaped field, now very worn and/or corroded so that the details are now not visible; there is a hint of a curved engraved element with flared ends.
