A base sherd from a Roman samian cup or bowl. Approximately half of the once-circular base survives, with part of the footring below. Stamped into the centre of the upper surface of the base is the end of an unidentified potter's stamp, which reads '...LLM'. The remaining portion of the vessel's side extends upwards at approximately 60 degrees, its transition with the underside of the base being angular. An incomplete ceramic wheelthrown Roman New Forest ware vessel, possibly a vase or drinking vessel, dating to the period c. AD 250-402. The fabric is a fineware, possibly an Oxfordshire fineware and is orange in colour with a heavily abraded thin orange-red colour coat. The base is circular in plan with a diameter of 31.91mm. The remnants of the body are slightly fluted and extend to a maximum height of 30.15mm. The vessel has a grey-white concretion inside the bottom.

A ceramic eagle fragment from a Post Medieval redware vessel, dating to the 17th century. The clay is light red with very fine inclusions. The slip appears black but this may be a result of discolouration whilst in the Thames. The object is in the shape of a moulded eagle, with two arches on the underside of the body so that it follows the line of the vessel it would have been attached to. A wheel-made and slipped rim sherd from a Roman Samian Ware ceramic probably carinated cup, c. 3rd century AD. East Gaulish, Trier, Samian Ware. The sherd has an orange/orange-brown fabric, with chalk inclusions and a relatively dull reddish-orange slip. The rim is sligtly everted. Lines are visible on the external and internal faces, probably from manufacturing technique. The external diameter of the cup is approximately 11 cm and the internal diameter of the cup is approximately 10 cm; 5.5 mm thick rim, 4.6 mm thick body sherd; weight is: 2.5 grams.

A rim sherd of a wheel-made ceramic Roman Samian ware vessel probably from a small bowl, c. 3rd century AD. The fragment is probably East Gaulish, Trier/Argonne ware with a pinkish core and chalk inclusions. It has a reddish-orange fine gloss/matte finish, with a lightly facetted outer rim surface and unevenly-spaced incised lines running the circumference of the outer surface, possibly from manufacturing techniques. Rim diameter is estimated at 24 cm (external), 22 cm (internal), 5.5 mm thick (at rim), 5.3 mm thick (at body) and weighs 6.2 grams.

The vessel was wheel-thrown. Overall, the sherd measures 67.90mm in length and 51.05mm wide. The wall thickness tapers from 9.75mm near the base to 5.75mm near the rim. It weighs 33.90g.

Two fragments of Metropolitan slipware dating to the Post Medieval period (1630-1700 AD). The pieces comprise of a base sherd, probably from a dish or bowl and a body sherd from a different vessel. Both fragments have a trailed pattern of cream. The bowl fragment has a wavy line whilst the body sherd has a stright line with a pellet on either side. Both fragments are glazed over the slip and just slipped on the external surface. The sherds are of a hard orange-red fabric with no visible inclusions or voids. Total weight: 16.25g.

The ceramic sherd is the pedestal base from a jar of Nene-valley colour coated ware and is sub-circular in profile and plane-convex in section. The fabric is fine, light grey in colour with a soft gritty texture. Some sparse dark mica inclusions are visible. Two fragments of Roman samian ware. The first is a body sherd from a carinated vessel, possibly a bowl. There are drag lines on the surfaces of the vessels suggesting it was wheel thrown as well as marks from burnishing. There is an incised line running above the carination. The fabric is hard, fine, silty and well sorted with small black and quartz inclusions. The fabric is orange-brown in colour with a brown-orange slip on both surfaces.
