The sherd consists of a bodysherd, in a fabric is similar to that known as Nene Valley colour coat, a type widely distributed across all of Roman Britain during the 2nd and 4th Centuries AD. The bodysherd exhibits rouletted decoration on the exterior.
The sherd is 4.6 mm thick and weighs 1.8 g. It has a length of 17.9 mm and is 19.9 mm wide.

A rimsherd of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel, of Roman dating (2nd to 4th Centuries AD).
The sherd consists of a rimsherd, in a fabric is similar to that known as Nene Valley colour coat, a type widely distributed across all of Roman Britain during the 2nd and 4th Centuries AD. The rim type is consistent with that of a rounded everted rim. Part of a white slip trailed design is present on the exterior.
The sherd is 6.4 mm thick and weighs 15.8 g. It has a length of 27.8 mm and is 50.2 mm wide.

A base sherd of a Roman small Samian Ware cup or bowl (Dragondorf Type 33) dating to the 2nd - 3rd Century AD. The base as a shallow foot-ring, with a diameter of 60mm. The vessel has been wheel thrown. The fabric is pale orange in colour with a glossy orange slip on the inner and outer surfaces. It is 50.5mm in length, 21.9mm wide and the base is 6.2mm thick, while the foot is 5.5mm thick. The sherd weighs 16.2g.

A small body shard from a Roman Gaulish Samian Ware vessel, dating from the 1st to mid-3rd century. The fabric is orange-red in colour with a glossy slip. It has a hard fine texture with abundant small limestone, fine quartz and mica inclusions. The shard is too small to determine the original form of the vessel.

A shard from the base of an Oxfordshire Ware vessel. Around half of the base survives. The fabric is orange-buff in colour with sparse sub-angular iron ore inclusions varying widely in size and sparse large chalk lumps set in a micaceous matrix. Dark red-brown slip decorates the outer surface. However, this is heavily abraded and missing in places. Some of surviving slip shows a slight sheen on a few small patches. A shard from the base of a Roman, Nene Valley Ware vessel, dating to the 2nd to 4th centuries AD. The fragment consists of over half of the base of the vessel and a small portion of the sides. The fabric is off-white in colour with a sandy texture. Both the inner and outer surfaces have a dark brown-black slip colour coat that is missing in places, particularly on the inside surface. A rectangular sherd of samian ware from a Roman ceramic table vessel. It is decorated with a 'hare' motif, within a circular double-beaded panel. The entire vessel would have featured a number of related designs.
The sherd measures 39.5mm high, 35.3mm wide, and 7.3mm thick. It weighs 11.8g.
Samian is a relatively common fineware dating to the first century AD, easily identifiable by its red slip. It was a continental import, used for tablewares such as bowls and jugs, and examples frequently bear intricate moulded designs.

A rim sherd of Nene Valley colour coated ware, incised with herring bone decoration on the exterior. The fabric is of a white to grey colour and the colour coat is of a deep grey. The sherd is colour coated on the exterior and interior. The sherd was probably part of a bowl or jar which originally meausured around 16 mm in diameter. The pottery is Roman in date and probably dates from the 2nd to 3rd centuries AD.
