An incomplete silvered copper alloy object of uncertain date and function, possibly Post Medieval to Modern sugar tongs or similar, but possibly part of a Medieval brooch pin. The object is rectangular and is D-shaped in cross-section. One end now tapers to a point, but is broken and could have been longer. The other end flattens, widens and is slightly concave. This could be the start of the bowl of sugar tongs, or the start of the rolled loop on a brooch pin. The curved outer face of the shaft is decorated with longitudinal lines giving a fluted effect. A silver plated, copper alloy Roman coin: a contemporary copy of a denarius of Aelius as Caesar, dating to AD 137 (Reece period 6). The reverse legend is TR POT COS II, depicting Concordia enthroned, facing left, holding a patera in the right hand and a cornucopia on the left arm. CONCORD in the exergue below. Rome mint. For type, c.f. RIC II, p. 392, no. 436. The coin is 17.4mm in diameter and 2mm thick. It weighs 2.12gm.

A copper alloy mount probably from a box or casket and of Medieval date. The mount is zoomorphic and silvered. It probably dates from the first part of the Medieval period, about AD 1000 - 1200. The mount is incomplete. At the broken end is a square panel decorated with a recessed cross saltire. The body of the mount is D shaped in sectoin and rectangular. The terminal takes the form of a dragon (or other beast) head. It is probably a contemporary imitation, as are most examples of Type N found North of Kent and the Thames area (Abramson, 2006, page 21). It has a diameter of 12mm and is 1.67mm thick. A copper alloy Medieval strap end probably dating from AD 1250 - 1400. It is a composite strap end with a spacer terminating in an scorn shaped knop, and two sheets. The body of the strap end is circular. One sheet plate has a scalloped attachment end which is concave with three rounded removals. A medieval copper alloy annular brooch dating from 1250 - 1400. The frame is circular and has a constriction for the pin (which is missing). The frame is D shaped in section and is decorated by eight groups of three or four transverse grooves, creating a beaded effect. There is also an additional groove at each side of the constriction. A copper alloy shield shaped harness pendant dating from 1200 - 1400 AD, with a broken suspension loop in the cnrte of the top edge. The loop is at 90 degrees to the plane of the pendant. The pendant has a raised edge and carries three stars or mullets of six points. The stars are silvered. None of the enamel from the background survives, so the colour is unknown. The Anglo Norman Armory lists this design as only have red enamel. It can be described as gules, three mullets of six points argent. These arms were used by Gilbert Hansard and Robert Hasal.

Part of a copper alloy knife holder or sheath dating from the Early Post Medieval period. It is a delicate U shaped piece of sheet copper alloy, broken on all edges. It would have formed a cylindrical (rounded oval) sheath or scabbard for a knife, probably with a loop so it could be attached to a chain from the belt. The sheath is decorated with a band of white metal or silvering across the sheath. At one end it curves downwards. Compare examples on page 42 of Bailey's Detector Finds 5.

It consists of a flat, narrow shaft of rectangular section, flat on the underside and slightly beveled on the upper surface, one end of which terminates in a pair of sloping, triangular side projections. There is a single surviving rivet, demarcated by a stub on the back. The edges are complete except for part of one long edge nearest to the rivet. An incomplete single loop, sub-rectangular Post-Medieval buckle with a lipped frame, dating from about 1500-1650. It has a rounded and notched front with a single ovoid knop and two engraved curvilinear lines. The front of the buckle appears to have been silvered and the reverse is undecorated.
