A fragment from a cast copper alloy spur of probably post medieval date (1600-1750) . The fragment consists of the pierced terminal and part of one arm along with an attached strap fitting. The break on the arm of the spur is old and much worn; the arm is a faceted D shape in cross section. The terminal expands from the tapering arm and is the shape of a figure of eight with two cast holes, each with a diameter of c. 4.4mm. An incomplete and corroded cast copper alloy double loop buckle of post medieval date (1450-1650). The frame is oval (rectangular with rounded corners) in plan with a slight integrally cast central bar. The pin is broken and is attached to the central bar by the terminal being folded back upon themselves. There is a slight recess on the outer frame at the mid-point which could be interpreted as a pin rest. Rally ID: 37 Cast copper alloy double looped buckle of probable post medieval date (1500-1650). The buckle frame is sub-oval with a slight central bar to which a pin would have been attached. The pin is missing. On the inner edge of the frame are two recessed pin rests / notches. The frame of the buckle is decorated on its outer edge with a two cast vertical lines positioned either side of the axis bar. A copper alloy mount with an extensive amount of silvering surviving. The mount is oval but has been damaged and is now bent double, measuring 35.5mm long, 33.4mm wide and 19.2mm thick. The front of the mount is decorated with sinuous incised patterns, raised pellets, punched decoration and a lobed motif in relief which is unintelligible. There is a lump of copper alloy corrosion on the reverse which may be the remains of the attachment mechanism at one end of the mount; the other end is broken. The mount probably dates from the post-medieval period and may have been a harness decoration.

An incomplete copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch dating from 45 - 200AD. The bow of the brooch has an angular profile and an angular D shaped cross section. The bow tapers from a flared head to a turned foot knop. The brooch measures 50.5mm in length, 19.5mm width, is 25.6mm thick, and weighs 17.4 grams. The edges of the mount are slightly beveled with the upper face being convex. A strap mount cast from copper alloy. The mount has a light green patina and shows areas on both the front and reverse of corrosion and pitting. On the front there are traces of a silvering or tinning, but this has been severly abraided and is now only visible in places. The mount is broadly of a sub-elongated triangle in plan. The edges have been abraided and rounded in the plough-soil causing the mount to become a-symetrical.
