An incomplete, copper alloy object of uncertain date, likely post-Medieval. It is a decorative attachment, likely from a door. The object is made from a thin sheet of metal 0.49mm thick that has been embossed and has other forms of decoration. It is roughly spear shaped. At the top, there is a circular section with a diameter of 3.78mm, that leads to a thin branch 2.83mm wide. This then flairs out over a downward curving section. This section expands to 10.16mm wide, before tapering to 9.72mm and runs 4.72mm along the length of the object. Below this, another curved section …

A fragment of a copper alloy probable mount probably of early-medieval to post-medieval date (AD c.500-c.1700). The fragment is broadly triangular with a flat rectangular cross-section. Overall, the fragment measures 22.9mm long, 12.9mm wide and 1.6mm thick. It weighs 1.26g. The fragment is broken at its wider edge. A cast copper alloy buckle plate, probably. The plate is rectangular in plan, with one narrow edge having a central semi-circular indentation. This edge may have originally formed a fold over the strap bar and the slot was to allow the pin to move on the strap bar. The terminals of the edges on this portion of the plate are abraded and narrowed which may suggest a broken edge. In the opposite corners to this edge there is a rivet hole, with a rounded headed iron rivet in place. The rivets protrude to the reverse of the plate where they appear to have been broken, probably recently. The…

Fragment of a ceramic Medieval vessel handle. The handle is a rod handle which, on the exterior face has been decorated with two stabs, and has traces of a dark green glaze splash on it. The fabric is quite hard, has a mid grey core, buff coloured margins and a pale brown surface which is due to a slip. The sherd is recently broken and weighs 41g. The style of handle and its decoration suggests a 13th to 14th century date. Pitchers and jugs all used similar handles, therefore the form is not certain.
