Roman (mid 1st to 2nd century) brooch:  An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman enamelled brooch. The body of the brooch remains with a portion of the foot. The upper portion of the brooch is missing. The body is a lozenge shape with a high-relief border. In the centre there is a high-relief annulet with a small low-relief pellet. The setting which tends to be glass is missing from this cell. Beyond this cell there are two concentric high-relief borders. Between the cell and first border there are is a low-relief wave motif. The head and pin of the brooch are missing, but the remainder of the brooch is complete and in good condition, including the well-developed catchplate and disc shaped foot terminal. An incomplete Roman copper alloy Hod Hill type brooch dating to the 1st Century AD, spring and catchplate missing. The head of the brooch projects backwards in a sub-rectangular plate which has been rolled upwards and over itself around a copper alloy axis bar. The head survives to a width of 15.4. A (possible) Post Medieval pottery jug sherd (fragment), actual date uncertain. Externally it is still glazed with a shiny glaze upon which there is the depiction of a human face, painted in green, red and black. The face is in a greeny shade with red eyes, nose and mouth and two red flowers in the "hair". The hair and eyebrows are black.The inside of the sherd is plain with traces of red with two curving lines, whilst the end view of it shows an inner grey core, which is more characteristic of local (Oxford) Roman wares.

A Post Medieval lead button dating to the period c.17th - 18th Century AD. The obverse is decorated with a five armed "cross" each arm bearing a geometric pattern and widening at the outer edge. Within the spaces created by the arms there are voided roundals or rings in the centre of each is a pellet. The centre of the arms also has a similar ring. The reverse is plain and has the remains of the fastening stub in the centre.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy open work mount c. 1200 - 1300 AD. The mount is deeply domed with a central internal fixing post. The design is that of a coiled snake. From the base of the dome, the snake coils up and around the openwork form, with its head then raised from the dome surface and resting centrally at the top. It is in the style of the Early Medieval Limoges box or casket mounts. A Medieval copper alloy semi-globular belt mount / strap fitting with multiple horizontal lined decoration. The top and bottom of the mount has a solid oblong projection or terminal lobes upon the reverse of which has a fragment of the fastening pin. Similar to Egan & Pritchard, 1991, No. 1161 but the lobes are square not pointed. See also " Identifying Metalic Small Finds, pp33,37 No. 43" which refers to the item as a Bar Mount from straps and dating from between 13th-14th Centuries.
