A fragment of a medieval ceramic floor tile of late 13th/14th century date. It consists of only around a fifth of the original tile, from one corner. The tile has a flat upper and lower face and slightly bevelled sides, to judge from the small surviving section of side. The remains of a glazed design can still be seen on the upper face, inlaid to c. 1mm. This consists of an olive/honey glaze on a red/brown clay with reduced grey centre visible at the break at the corner. A basal sherd from a wheel thrown, post-medieval dish or pancheon. The sherd has been knife trimmed at the base. The fabric is finely sand tempered and fired to a bright orange colour. The sherd is decorated with an internal green glaze. The sherd weighs 20.72g The sherd is likely to have been part of a locally made vessel. There are a number of kiln sites in west Somerset including one at Crowcombe where vessels such as this would have been made.

A sherd from the neck of a 16th-17th century 'Bartmann' or 'Bellarmine' German stoneware jug. Applied decoration in the form of a bearded man, typical of Bellarmine jugs, is seen on most of this sherd although it has been broken across the face and so the right eye is now missing. The external surface has a mottled brown salt-glaze and the internal surface has a light orangey brown salt-glaze. The fabric has fired to a light buff.The sherd weighs 39.64g.

Eight sherds from various post-medieval wheel-thrown ceramic vessels dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Six of the sherds are body sherds (40.51g), one a rim sherd (11.31g) and a basal angle (33.98g) from an internally green glazed dish. One of the body sherds has wavy sgraffito decoration on the internal surface (10.04g). All eight sherds are made in Somerset fabrics.

Body sherd of a ceramic vessel, probably a jug of later Medieval, 14th-15th century AD date. The vessel has a mid orange fabric with abundent (c.15%) fine sand temper and sparse iron oxide inclusions up to 2.9mm long (most are shorter than 2mm). The outer side is reduced where it was covered in glaze with only a small amount of the pale yellow-olive slip glaze remaining. Lines from wheel throwing are visible on the inner side. It is highly abraded with old breaks. It weighs 7.56 grams.

Post Medieval copper alloy hooked strap fitting, probably a 17th century sword belt fitting. The mount has a flat oval central plate decorated with an engraved design: an incised line running parallel to to the plate's edge, small annulets, and probably flowers and lines, now obscured by corrosion. At one end of the plate is a projecting oval flat knop with a circlar hole in the centre filled with iron corrosion. The knop extends into a small worn hook, possibly bant back by later damage. Eight sherds of glazed red earthenwares dating from the 17th to 19th century. Pale orange fabric with grey reduced cores and in some cases surfaces (where it was previously glazed). Abundent (c.20%) very coarse quartz or patinated chert temper up to 2.7mm. One rim sherd with a turned out and rounded rim from a large vessel such as a pancheon, it is too small to estimate the diameter. Four base sherds, one with traces of a yellow glaze remaining on the inner side, again too small to estimate diameter. All the sherds are highly abraded. 95.3 grams in total.

Rim sherd from a 17th-18th century glazed cream pancheon. The fabric is dark grey with bright orange oxidised areas on the outer side. The fabric has sparse very fine quartz sand and limestone inclusions. The limestone is up to 1.3mm across. The inner side is glazed with a mid olive-brown glaze and there are splashes on the outer side; the glaze is clear in places on the rim suggesting the inner side may be mis-coloured. Base sherd from a 16th-17th century glazed crean pancheon in a buff fabric. The fabric has abundent (c.20%) medium quartz sand temper with some limestone inclusions up to 1.8mm. across. The outerside has a dark orange brown surface and the inner side is glazed with a bright yellow-green glaze. There is a small patch of smithing slag or other iron residue attached to one corner. The colour on the outerside, glaze colour and prescense of the iron may suggest it is a waster. The breaks are not abraded. It weighs 16.90 grams.

Fragment of the rim and handle from a 16th-17th century glazed jug in a dark orange-grey fabric. The fabric has abundent (c.20%) medium quartz sand temper with some limestone inclusions up to 1.3mm. across.The rim is beaded on the outerside with a rounded D-sectioned expansion and flares out slightly just below the rim. The point where the top of the handle joins the jug survives. It is oval in section and relatively flat. There is an even bright olive glaze covering the inner and outer side. The handle appears to have been unglazed or the glaze has worn. It weighs 36.37 grams.

Post Medieval ceramic vessel, probably a cup of 16th to 17th century date. The vessel has slightly convex sides and a slightly turned out and rounded rim. The fabric is bright orange with abundent very fine quartz temper and poorly matured olive glaze on the inner and outer sides suggesting it is a waster piece from production. The cup was originally c.70mm in internal diameter at the rim and 5.5mm thick. The fragment is 32 grams.

Two fragments, one body, one base, of a medieval jug of 13th/14th century date. Both sherds show signs of misfiring with grey, over-fired mid-grey fabrics and speckled/bubbley glaze. The fabric has abundent fine quartz temper. The body sherd is 3.4mm thick with bubbly green glaze covering one side, 5 grams. The base is flat with foot rim around the outer edge.
