A corroded and incomplete cast copper alloy medieval enamelled heraldic stud or mount, probably from horse harness. The plate displays arms quarterly, with a cross fleury on a red enamel (gules) field in two quarters and an illegible device on a blue enamel field (azure) in the other two. No traces of gilding or tinning are evident so the colour of the metals in the blazon are unclear. All of the margins of the plate have suffered considerable loss and the original shape is unclear. The reverse is undecorated and has a single shank around 10mm in length.

An incomplete copper-alloy stud of Roman date, c.AD 100-350. The stud has a circular head, that contains a circular recessed field around a central circular cell, both containing enamelled decoration. Gaps in the enamel suggest that it may have had eight areas of enamel in different colours. It is unclear what colour the enamels were. An integral rivet projects from the reverse of the head and has a tapering circular section. It terminates with a wo…

An enamelled cast copper alloy early medieval stud, mount or other type of fitting, with a discoidal head, 19mm in diameter. This has been inlaid with yellow champlevé enamel in the form of a four-armed running spiral cross or swastika-derived motif. The reverse is flat with a long flat rectangular shank which ends in a break. This perhaps suggests a function as a casket mount or fitting, perhaps from a reliquary.
