Complete copper alloy and enamel pendant from the Roman to Medieval periods (43 - 1500 AD). This is an oval shaped pendant having a loop at the upper edge. In profile it is narrower at the terminal end nearest the loop, it flares towards a rounded base.  It measures 18.4mm in length in total in cluding the loop.  It is 12.3mm wide, 6.8mm thick and weighs 1.6g.  The metal surface is dark green and mostly smooth, although the surface is pitted in places by corrosion. The object takes the form of an openwork sexfoil with six lobes projecting outwards from a central fitting. The mounted stone appears to be a replacement, as the upper rivet hole is left empty, and the stone obscures the detail of the openwork front and back. The pendant is decorated on the front and back. A copper alloy cruciform pendant probably of post-medieval or later date. The object is decorated on one surface by a pelleted border around an inlay of blue enamel. The reverse surface is plain. The small suspension loop is in the same plane as the pendant but has a slight twist. The object has a pronounced curve along the long axis, probably damage rather than part of the design. The object weighs 3.05g. It measues 23.6mm long, including the suspension loop, and 14.6mm wide.
