An incomplete copper-alloy military belt plate of Roman date, c.AD. 150 – 300. The object comprises two ovate panels joined by a narrowed integral D-shape sectioned shaft. A similar shaft extends from the opposite edge of each panel, one terminating is a transverse ridge, the other in a worn break. The panels have raised edges creating recessed cells which retain blue enamel. The reverse is flat and undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 650 - 750. The buckle is D-shaped with a bevelled outer edge, narrowed bar, and half-round pin recess. The upper surface is decorated with a series of ten (10) sub-rectangular cells of red, yellow and white enamel. The bar is flanked by three narrow transverse rectangular cells, the outer two bear yellow enamel, the centre one has white enamel. A hinge loop projects from the outer flat edge of the frame, behind the bar. The remains of a second hinge loop are present at the opposite end of the bar. This is broken and worn.…

An incomplete copper-alloy Trumpet brooch of Roman date, c. AD 75-175. Mackreth 2011, Trumpet Type 1.2b1, Plate 80, no.11826. The head is ovate with a single centrally positioned integral vertical lug to the reverse. The spring remain though the pin is lost. An axis bar remains fitted through the lug. Five (5) turns of the spring remain around the axis bar. The front of the ornate head is decorated with a pair of recessed arcs which were likely inlaid with enamel. The head is formed of a flat rectangular plate. Decoration on this plate consists of red and yellow enamel, set within three parallel square cells with yellow enamel set in the middle cell and red enamel present in the two flanking cells. An incomplete copper-alloy harness pendant of medieval date, c.AD 1100 - 1400. The pendant is mostly lost to worn breaks so its original shape can no longer be determined. The neck, which projects from the upper edge, widens and thickens with a banded collar below the complete suspension loop. Some decoration remains of the front of the pendant.
