A near complete cast Post-Medieval thimble of Holmes Type II, dating to c.AD 1620-1750. Description: The object has a circular base raising to straight sides which slope to a domed crown. The thimble is seamless, with a regular series of mechanically knurled pits covering the dome and body. There is an indented band between the body and crown and some basal bands with deep grooves. Middle Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy pin with globular head and an integral collared shaft. The shaft is bent once (around 70-80 degrees) and may be complete. It measures approximately 42mm from the collar at base of the head to the tapering but blunt tip. The head is almost entirely covered with punched ring-and-dot impressions. Complete early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy small-long brooch, now in two joining parts. The head is of the 'cross potent' type, with a flat rectangular central panel c. 13 x 18mm. This has three sub-rectangular flat 'knobs' attached by narrower waists, to form a headplate in total 32.2mm wide.
