A heavily corroded coin of uncertain alloy. Obverse: a left facing male bust with diadem. Reverse: a right facing female figure within a temple. No discernible legend. The heavy corrosion prevents reliable identification. This coin is delaminating suggesting some iron content in the alloy. The poor quality alloy suggests this may be a contemporary forgery.

A modern cast copper alloy three piece Regimental jacket button of the Berkshire Volunteer Rifles, with the first Volunteer review taking place in Hyde Park in the presence of Queen Victoria in June 1860 . The Obverse is convex and within a lined border an eight-pointed star with the precedence number 19 in the middle. Within the lined border the Regimental name: Berkshire Volunteer Rifles. The reverse is flat with the loop fastener soldered or brazed in the centre (bent) and around the outer perimeter the makers: Doughty & Co St Martins Lane.

A modern aluminium military 'dog tag' of a serviceman from the United States. The single dog tag bears the legend: CHAS.E.PICKFORD, 31108954 T42-43 A (name of the serviceman / army number / tetanus immunization / blood group); CATHERINE A. PICKFORD 567 1ST AVE BERLIN NH C (next of kin/next of kin address/religion (Catholic). Unfortunately the tag was not donated to the museum as requested. Mr Charles E Pickford of 567 First Avenue, Berlin, New Hampshire appears in the 1940 United States Federal census and is listed as 26 years old (born in 1913), married to Catherine with three son…
