A cast double loop Post Medieval copper alloy buckle, 41.8mm in length. The surface is covered with moulded decoration incorporating rosettes on the outer edges of each loop and also at either end of the strap bar with scrolls linking them on the frame. There are traces of an iron pin, now lost, and the surface has traces of a black lacquer coating. Circa 16th-17th century.

In plan, the object is shaped as a fish or dolphin tail with a rectangular body ending in a worn concave break. A small cast copper-alloy shoe buckle, dating from the Post-Medieval period c. AD 1660 - 1720. Its frame is sub-rectangular with rounded corners, and is bowed (curved) towards its front by intentional design. At the point where the pin spindle would have been fitted to the frame, there are three moulded ridges flanked by two recesses. Copper alloy and iron door fitting. A cast escutcheon to cover a keyhole, with a heart-shaped base depending from a concave-sided rectangle. Deeply recessed moulded decoration within these figures retains a glossy black material whose thickness may suggest it to be relict enamel. Plain on the back with a cylindrical iron fixing pin of diameter 5.9mm on which the plate turned. The edges are crisp and the detail strongly defined. A copper alloy single looped buckle, of uncertain Medieval or Post medieval date, about AD 1350 - 1700. The buckle has an oval loop with a very offset and narrowed bar, leaving an almost T shaped frame. The outer edge is expanded into two flat circular lobes, each covered with oblique groves. The sides of the frame also have oblique grooves. The loop of the copper alloy pin survives in situ. There are traces of a black coating. The buckle is 27.3mm long, 27.1mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 5.50g. There is no close parallel in Whtehead, nor Egan and Pritchard, and a similar example…

Two fragments of a Modern incomplete copper alloy badge awarded in World War Two, AD. 1939-1945.  Together, both fragments comprise approx. 60% of an oval-shaped badge made of embossed sheet brass. The obverse features a central helmet with embossed swastika atop crossed swords on a stipped background within a wreath with bow at the bottom. A copper alloy, double loop, spectacle buckle dating from the early Post-Medieval period, AD 1550 - 1650. The frame has two D shaped loops with a moulded rosette on each loop. There is a protruding knop at each end of the pin bar.  The pin is missing. The buckle has a dark green brown patina and appears to retain some original black coating. Measurements are; length 47.9mm, width 28.4mm, thickness 4.3mm and weight 7.0g. The buckle is similar to Whitehead (2003) number 408.
