An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Continental Plate brooch dating to circa AD 25-250. Now with incomplete, jagged edges the piece is flat and discoidal in plan. The front face is decorated with two concentric roundels. Lead alloy pilgrim-badge. It depicts a robed figure, seated, holding a lamb - the Lamb of God. The figure may be on a boat although this is not certain, and is likely to represent St John the Baptist. On the back is a single loop for attachment to a garment. This badge is one of only a few of this type recorded to date, including BERK-29EB55 and YORYM-DB0F36, and an example from Fetter Lane, London (Ward Perkins 1967 [1940], 264, no. 36.146/2) Dimensions: It is 24mm wide and 22mm high, it weighs 2.9g Thanks to Rob Webley for identification

A copper alloy pin from a buckle of early medieval date, c. 6th-9th century AD. It is possibly of insular/irish style. It is sub triangular in shape with flattened corners. From the central flattened edge a rounded knop extends. The face has been divided into recesses with raised edges. There seems to be a central cross, with L and U shaped recesses surrounding it. An incomplete - broken buckle dating from the Post-Medieval period c. AD 1720 - 1790. Approximately 25% of the buckle frame has been lost by the damage. The chape which is attached to the pin spindle is in place and in good condition. It measures 29.78 x 22.19 mm, and the 'Spike' 8.97 mm in length. The iron pin itself has corroded over time and left its remains, which are plain to see on the spindle housing.  Dimensions: Length 36.04 mm. Width 33.31 mm. Thickness 2.79 mm. Weight 10.60 g.

A complete Modern ceramic ointment vessel c. AD 1750-1900. It is a circular stoneware vessel with a raised lip on the upper face creating a circular depression and a central pedestal foot on the lower face. The side is incised with  'Singleton's Eye Ointment' in cursive script and filled with mid-blue glaze. The artefact has an overall white/grey glaze with some minor chips. A circular object that may be the top of a dagger or similar. It has a circular copper alloy frame. Within this is a domed decoration, comprised of white enamel or glass, although this is now broken into irregular shaped pieces. It does retain a sheen. Under this mount are the remains of an iron fitment. The decoration has some similarity with the rondel dagger guard recorded in  NARC-FF7764, which is also decorated with glass inlay. The tile fragment is bi-chrome and inlaid with a white clay depicting the edge of a design that possibly features an animal (a leg and tail survive), surrounded by a plain double line border with a thicker line at the bottom. A  probable brooch of  copper alloy, cast in the shape of a turtle or tortoise. The brooch is oval in shape with four triangular legs, a triangular tail and a head protruding from it. An incomplete Medieval copper alloy horse harness pendant, probably dating to c AD 1150 - 1300. It is broadly pelta shaped but may originally have been scallop shaped, as the find has slight fluting along one side. The find also has slightly concave upper edges. The pendant has a incuse design which may have depicted a dragon or wyvern advancing left, tail curled to the right. A fragment of an annular copper-alloy medieval brooch. It is decorated with four raised collets projecting at equal intervals around the outer face of the fragment. The collets are angled slightly outwards; the settings have been lost and three out of the four collets retain traces of silver-gold paste or fixative within the mount. An incomplete copper alloy early medieval stirrup strap mount, c. 11th century AD. Williams Class A Type 1. Only the base and a small portion of the plate survives, including the projecting foot and two iron rivets. An incomplete copper-alloy mount from a buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1200 – 1450. The mount comprises a large central conical boss from which four evenly spaced, ovate sectioned arms extend to form a cross. Each arm terminates in a smaller conical boss. Each of the five bosses has a deep central circular recess, all except the central boss retain an applied white paste or solder.
