Medieval inlaid floor tile, complete, and measuring 140x139x21mm. The design is of four lozenges, each divided into four with a trefoil-ended cross. The underside of the tile has four scooped depressions to aid the tile to adhere to the mortar bed of the floor on which it was laid. The tile design is no.164 in the Salisbury Museum Medieval Catalogue part 1 and 2472 in the British Museum Catalogue, where it is described as of the Wessex School of tile makers and dated to the end of the 13th century.
