Cast copper alloy bridle bit in two pieces with a cheek ring mount and two links from the center of the bit. The mount is made up of a square plate that is 28 mm long and 29 mm wide and 3 mm thick, inlaid with red glass to about half of its depth. The plate is mounted onto a circular ring which is 23 mm in diameter, 14.2 mm wide and 6 mm thick. Below the ring is the beginnings of the attachment bar that is circular in section and 12 mm in diameter and 3 mm deep, so that the whole mount is 29 mm in height. Incomplete cast copper alloy annular brooch with six moulded collets as settings, each with the remains of the white paste used as fixative for the stones inside them, now missing, alternating with six vertical cylinders tapering to a point. The pin is missing but part of the attachment loop remains on the inside edge of the frame, which the wire pin would have been looped through. Incomplete cast copper alloy sword belt fitting or baldric ring, circular in profile and D-shaped in section, having a slightly flatter inner edge. The outer surface of the ring or hoop is inlaid with red glass triangles, arranged in a pattern pointing inwards from the edge, so that the alternating copper alloy spaces are triangular or diamond-shaped. The glass is the so called 'sealing wax' glass of the Iron Age, called thus because of the opaque deep red colour. It is technically known as enamel when in fact it is chips of glass inlay. Incomplete cast copper alloy harness pendant with inlaid paste, defining a pattern of four sets of diamonds within diamonds, set into the copper alloy mouldings. The pendant is quatrefoil in plan and flat in profile, with two arms projecting out of the sides. But it is missing its loop which would have attached it to the pendant suspension bar. Read (1988) illlustrates a similar example on page 91, No.557, which is dated from the 13th to the 14th century.
