A near complete copper alloy two-piece head stud bow brooch of Roman date (100-200AD). The wings are complete being cylindrical in plan with closed pierced ends through which an axis bar passes. There is a cylindrical cover between the wings on the reverse and a central wedge has been cut to fit the hinged pin; which is incomplete. The cover seems to be complete and there is no evidence of a seam possibly suggesting it was cast in one piece. The hinged pin is sub-rectangular in cross section and is broken. The brooch is Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends, enamelled), Mackreth 2011, 4.k. Plate 48, of late 1st to mid second century AD (80-120AD). It is made of cast copper alloy and is incomplete. The brooch is a direct derivative of the earlier Polden Hill type brooch, and retains many of its predecessor's characteristics, such as the semi-cylindrical wings, the spring gear, which is secured by wing caps and an axis bar; and the catchplate.

Cast copper alloy strap end with a stylised zoomorphic terminal of later early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) date, 750 - 1000 AD. The strap-end is sub-rectangular in plan with two parallel sides which flare and taper along the length; these terminate in a blunt point. The profile is sub-rectangular but slightly curved; the cross section is also sub-rectangular. The strap end measures 42.6mm in length, maximum width 15.3mm width, and it is 3.5mm thick. The strap-end weighs 6.4 grams.
