A lead alloy medallion or pendant which is probably modern, perhaps dating from the Victorian period. It has a diameter of 39.7mm and is 3.5mm thick. The medallion is gilded and decorated on both faces but the poor quality of the alloy means that much of the detail is illegible. The obverse bears a large central cross potent with five pellets in each angle. There is also a legend round the edge which is illegible. The reverse shows a coat of arms with a crown above and emblems to the side. This is believed to be the royal arms of Portugal. It is likely that this medallion is based upo…

A silver object reported found at Drayton Bassett, Staffordshire. The object is a piedfort striking of the coin known as denier parisis of Philip IV the Fair, King of France (1285-1314). The type was originally produced in 1307-10 (ref : Duplessy no. 221; an older reference, Lafaurie, no. 224, includes a record of a piedfort striking of the denomination). Finds of single coins are not normally considered as potential Treasure. However, non-functional coins or coin-like objects do have the potential to be so considered. The first piedfort reported under the Treasure system was found …

A shield-shaped copper alloy horse harness pendant. The pendant has blue enamel on one side that surrounds a design left in the area without enamel (possibly once gilded or defined in some other way). This depicts a prancing unicorn left, with a raised shaggy tail and distinctly cloven hoves. An eye is picked out in enamel. The upper part of the shield is obscured by corrosion products. A shank at the top of the shield has a circular suspension loop on the reverse, with a hole running from left to right. A trace of gilding appears to survive where the shank meets the shield.
