The mount comprises a rectangular strip of metal, broken at either end, and displaying a repaired fold at the centre. The upper surface is decorated with three longitudinal ridge and groove designs which retain gilding. The reverse is undecorated. A Medieval gilded copper alloy harness pendant, from around AD 1100 - 1300.  The openwork copper alloy pendant is annular or ring shaped, and has a sub circular projecting suspension loop with a perforation at riht angles to the plane of the pendant, and the remains of an axis bar in situ. It is fairly flat and has a narrow central body, terminating in crosses with short arms, all incomplete. The front face is slightly bevelled and the reverse slightly concave. The top of the L appears to be a complete edge. The top right corner of the plate is absent owing to an aoriginal curved edge. The mount has four lobes round the top, a smaller one to each side, and a flat base.
