A complete Medieval cast silver-gilt finger ring, of stirrup style, and dating to c.AD.1150-1500. Description: The object is stirrup shaped, with a sub-circular hoop rising to a triangular bezel. In cross-section the hoop is D-shaped and is uninscribed. The bezel has an integrally cast silver boss, in place and in imitation of a gem setting. An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval harness pendant. It is escallop in shape, and therefore likely to be religious as a shell is a common badge of pilgrimage and have been found in late twelfth0centruy contexts in East Anglia (Ashley, 2002, p 26). There is evidence of gilding on the front of the pendant, and in the centre is a globular headed rivet. There is stamped decoration visible, depicting the scallops of the shell. The frame protrudes at each side and has a pin notch; the plate is recessed for the frame, has a transverse ridge next to slot for the now missing pin, an integral rivet in the plate. A cast copper alloy decorative strap mount or fitting with a square plate, 19.4mm wide. The mount is decorated with raised cells of retained metal, with four small square cells around a central circular cell, all holding a red enamel inlay.
