Description: A gilded silver one-piece brooch dating to the Late Iron Age or Roman Conquest period. The brooch is slightly bent and is missing its spring and pin. The catch plate is bent over, is 17mm long and has a single simple perforation. An incomplete Iron Age cast copper-alloy brooch, of Mackreth's prototype Langton Down, Colchester Strand type, dating c. AD 25-60. The brooch comprises the wings, part of the hook, the bow and the catch plate. The spring and pin are missing. The wings of the brooch are rectangular in shape and in cross-section, with worn rounded terminals. The remains of a broken hook projects upwards from the centre. An incomplete copper-alloy Late Iron Age to early Roman Rosette brooch, of the sub-keyhole type, dating AD 20-60. A worn Iron Age gold plated copper alloy stater (contemporary copy) probably of Epaticcus. ABC 1343. The coin has lost most of its gold plating and therefore the identification is not 100% certain, however this issue seems to most closely resemble this copy. Epaticcus is usually identified as a brother of Cunobelin. He issued coins in the Berkshire-Hampshire-Wiltshire area, in about AD 30-45.
