Probably 1760-1826. Copper alloy, cast, broken fragment of a once very large size rumbler bell. Fragment Length 71mm, Width 49mm, Thickness 4.4mm, Weight 87.0g. Estimated diameter size number '30', 140mm ie 5.5 inches. Lower section fragment with sunburst decoration and initial 'R' probably from 'R.W.' Robert Wells foundry, Albourne, Wiltshire. Elaborate initial 'S' with several pellets, one on the left and a large pellet with six smaller pellets above on the right. Little wear and grey patina. Ref.
