PONT MAX reverse depicting Ceres standing left, with two corn ears and a cornucopiae. Mint of Rome. RIC I (2nd ed.), p. 261, no. 20var. This is a denarius variant of the listed aureus type in RIC. Two examples of this type are known in the British Museum: 1867,0101.1628 and 2005,0834.1, with another three recorded by the PAS: BH-F5BD67, WMID-BE1BF1, and YORYM-6E270D. An incomplete plated silver Roman denarius, probably copying a coin of Galba (AD 68-69), dating to the period c.AD 68-69 (Reece period 3). Probably DIVA AVGVSTA reverse type depicting Livia, draped, standing left holding patera and sceptre. Unclear mint prototype. cf. RIC I (2nd ed.), nos. 14, 150, etc.  The coin has a base (copper-alloy) core, visible in the old breaks around the edge of the flan and where the silver plating has been lost.
