It has a heart-shaped lower section that tapers into a narrow neck, before expanding again at its mid-point. Description: A complete silver Anglo-Saxon strap-end of Thomas's Class A, Type 1 (Thomas, 2003, 2, fig 1). It is convex-sided with a zoomorphic terminal, and the front is decorated with a Trewhiddle-style design with niello inlay, much of which survives. There are also two silver dome-headed rivets through the attachment end, which survive in situ, although one is loose.

A copper-alloy incomplete heart-shaped strap end. This strap end is incomplete as although it consisted of two sheets originally now one of these is fragmentary. It measures 33.50mm in surviving length and 21.65mm in width (at its widest point, that is across the centre of the heart shape). There is a single copper alloy rivet through the centre of the attachment end.
The fragmentary sheet, the attachment terminal of which survives appears to have been decorated with very faint rocker decoration along its edges and down its centre.

A copper-alloy strap-end of blunt-ended Romanesque type, Rogerson and Ashley's Type 2. This strap end is rectangular in shape, measuring 24mm in length and 20mm in width. It appears to have been cast in one with a thicker, decorated terminal end. This has transverse grooves and mouldings across its outer edge. Projecting from the terminal end there would have originally have been two flat rectangular and parallel sheets, in between which the strap would have fitted. A complete copper-alloy composite strap end with a cast forked spacer, 49mm in length and 16mm in width. It is roughly rectangular in shape with a bulbous rounded terminal end. The attachement edge is concave with a circular perforation in its centre. There are two rivets either side of this central hole which hold the front and back sheets of the strap end together. The forked spacer has an acorn shaped terminal which projects from between the two sheets. This strap end is medieval and 14th century in date.

It has a split attachment end, the front face of which has two parallel circular indentations, one near to each corner, which do not perforate the back face. A complete cast copper-alloy strap end. This strap end is roughly triangular, 55mm in length and 23mm in width at its attachment end i.e, the widest point. This strap end is 3mm thick and fairly crudely made. The strap end has a central trapezoidal hole cut through it. Around this there is a border groove.

An incomplete copper-alloy strap end of Gabor Thomas's type E in the Winchester style, which is dated to between 900-1100 and is therefore late early medieval. This strap end is is roughly rectangular in shape and measures 58mm in length and 17.5mm in width, at its widest point (the attachment end).
