Description: An incomplete silver Cufflink of Post-Medieval date (AD 1662–1714). 'Crown and Heart' Form 2, Type B. The cufflink element (one quarter of a pair of cuff links) consists of a single disc or cufflink element. A copper-alloy core of a plated copy of a Corieltavi / North-Eastern uninscribed gold stater, ‘Kite’ type, dating to c. 50 BC - AD 10. Obv. Type largely obliterated. Rev. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch of Mackreth (2011), CD RH 8. a. Plate 42, dating to c.AD 43 - 120. The wings and bow are complete, the catch plate and pin are missing. The hollow cylindrical wings are decorated with three vertical bands of beading, each flanked by a raised moulded line. The top of the bow is humped in profile and undecorated. BMC IV, p. 719, no. 166; RIC III, p. 378, no. 113var. The obverse legend M COMM ANT AVG P BRIT FEL is not recorded for this reverse type in RIC (published in 1930). However, such a coin is in the British Museum Catalogue (Published 1940) because the British Museum acquired an example from the L. A. Lawrence collection in 1937.
