Williams (2007) Type 1). The fragment comprises a curled loop with teardrop shaped aperture at the centre, part of a second aperture on one side (which the object has broken across) and four or more incomplete decorative projections running around the exterior edge. One side of the fragment has crudely incised geometric decoration in the form of two bands, possible devolved interlace or zoomorphic forms.

A complete copper-alloy early medieval (Anglo-Saxon) finger ring or ear-ring. It is formed from a penannular piece of wire, rectangular in cross-section and tapering to a sharp point at either end. It is bent into a distorted u-shape with ends overlapping, but may have formed a circle originally with knotted terminals. The surface of the metal is corroded. An early-medieval silver Carolingian denier of Charles the Bald (AD 840-77) or later, monogram/METVLLO type dating from the AD 860s-c.925, mint: Melle, France. Weight 0.9g, Diam 20.1 x 11.0mm. An incomplete copper-alloy cruciform brooch of the early-medieval period, (c.AD450 – 550).   The object comprises the flat panel and incomplete zoomorphic foot of a cruciform brooch. Iron strip, perhaps the blade from a knife. It is 120mm long and one end is encased in delaminating corrosion. Away from this end, it is generally around 19mm wide, with one edge straight and 3mm thick, tapering to the other edge which may represent the cutting edge. The end without the corrosion layers has the cutting edge curving up to meet the back of the blade in a rounded point. The corroded end is broken and has no evidence of a whittle tang.
