A Roman silver coin: a reduced siliqua of Valentinian I dating from AD 364 - 367 (Reece period 19), reverse type VOT/V/MVLT/X in wreath. Mint of Rome, mintmark RT. RIC IX Rome 10b (http://numismatics.org/ocre/id/ric.9.rom.10B), Hoxne 197. The coin is 16.8mm in diameter and 1.3mm thick. It weighs 1.80g. The coin is lightly clipped and the legends are intact.

Roman coin; silver siliqua, reduced weight. RESTITVTOR REIP emperor standing facing holding labarum and Victory on globe reverse. Only Valentian I (AD364-375) or Valens (AD364-378) produced this reverse. Clipped. The portrait is scratched in multiple directions - possibly deliberately defaced. Diameter 12.8-15.0mm, weight 0.91g.
