A heavily worn copper-alloy pin of Bronze Age to early medieval date. Description: The pin has a circular head which narrows gradually to form the shank. The pin is heavily pitted with a light-mid green patina and some brown mottling. Measurements: length: 41.8mm; width: 9mm; weight: 6.67g Discusssion: The pin probably dates to the early medieval period due to the large proportion of early medieval finds recovered from the same area, a possible distrubed cemetry.

Complete sandstone whetstone. Description Fine-grained compacted sandstone whetstone. A short bar hone of originally rectangular section, all four sides of the central section are now slightly concave through heavy wear. The flat ends suggest that the object is complete. Objects of this type have a broad date range from Roman to the post medieval. Dimensions Length: 99mm, width: 47mm, thickness: 23mm, weight: 199g .

An irregular sherd of hard fired coarsware of uncertain date. It has a very hard fired surface leaving it pink with spar large angular flint inclusions and black sandy grit speckles moderately throughout. Oxidised seems heavy leaving the inside a dark grey colour. The outer faces seem to have been very heavily heat affected. Measurements: 43.08mm wide, 56.75mm high, 11.8mm thick, 24.40g in weight

It has specks-small sand inclusion and grit throughout and the occasional large angular flint inclusion also. it is unevenly fired leaving it mottled mid-light grey to light brown Measurements: 48.12mm wide, 42.5mm high, 20.64mm thick, 42.43g in weight

It has heavy inclusions with a large patch of angular shell temper as well as packe dsandy grit inclusions througout. it is poorly fired and oxidised leaving it a mottle very light grey-brown to light brown. Measurements: 22.22mm wide, 27.4mm high, 7.93mm thick, 6.11g in weight
