A fragment of a copper-alloy late early medieval, or Viking Age, cheekpiece, cheekpieces were worn in pairs and each is pierced with a round hole through which the ends of the jointed iron bit projected. Only a fragment of the flat plate and of the central hole survives as well as the knob which originally was at the base of a loop, the latter is now missing. This cheekpiece seems most likely to be Williams Type 1, it is very worn with no visible decoration evident. (Williams 2007).

A complete cast copper alloy early medieval (Anglo Saxon) strap end (cf. Thomas Class A2h). The plate is narrow and oval, waisted to a flared rear end which is characteristically split but incomplete having broken across the rivet holes on the edge. The front of the plate is decorated with cross hatching or lattice decoration within a linear border. The terminal is zoomorphic, although now too worn for much detail to be visible.

The disc is decorated on one side only with a shield bearing three lions passant guardant facing right (the arms of England) with a palm branch along each side of the shield and an illegible inscription or decoration around. A cast copper alloy decorative strap mount or fitting with a square plate, 19.4mm wide. The mount is decorated with raised cells of retained metal, with four small square cells around a central circular cell, all holding a red enamel inlay. The surface of the mount around these cells is gilded. The edge of the plate has a narrow recessed lip which appears to be beaded. The reverse is flat and undecorated with stumps of two integrally cast attachment prongs on the outer edges of the plate, which may represent rivets or (given the positioning) part of an attachment loop.

Although the coin has inscriptions and obverse/reverse designs which are faithful to the originals, there are problems when you examine the coin closely:
the combination of obverse (EC-1ii) and reverse (CR-G) type seen on this coin isn't seen in the Cuerdale hoard (which is a large sample)

A Post Medieval Belgian, Antwerp issued copper-alloy square 3.3g coinweight for a half-ryal coin dating to c.1579-1603.
Square and flat. One face depicts a stylised ship with a rose in the bottom centre and the letter R to top right. (Withers 2011 : 25) The reverse depicts the hand of Antwerp with the letters L / M either side (unknown makers initials) all within a wreath. The weight is quite corroded, displaying a mainly brown colour with patches of green patina.

A corroded and incomplete cast copper alloy medieval enamelled heraldic stud or mount, probably from horse harness. The plate displays arms quarterly, with a cross fleury on a red enamel (gules) field in two quarters and an illegible device on a blue enamel field (azure) in the other two. No traces of gilding or tinning are evident so the colour of the metals in the blazon are unclear. All of the margins of the plate have suffered considerable loss and the original shape is unclear. The reverse is undecorated and has a single shank around 10mm in length.

A fragment of an Early Medieval copper-alloy cruciform brooch dating to circa AD 475-550. The extant piece consists of a side knop which would have been attached to the headplate of the brooch.. It is dumbbell shaped in plan and plano-convex in section, with a flat reverse. The front face consists of two lobes joined by a constricted mid-setion. Each lobe is decorated with three incised transverse grooves. At the efge of one of the lobes is a shall median rectangular groove which would have facilitated attachment to the brooch. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman or later Iron Age bow brooch of La Tene III or Nauheim derivative type. A portion of the integrally cast spring is retained separately. The bow has a flat cross sectional profile and is lenticular in shape, expanding to a maximum width of 8.5mm at the lower end before tapering sharply towards the foot which has largely broken off. The bow is decorated with a double row of punched dots along both lateral margins.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch of Colchester derivative Harlow double-lugged type dating to the first century AD. The arms are hemi-cylindrical and decorated with transverse ridges. The spring is held on a copper alloy spindle in a double lugged flange at the centre. Approximately half of the spring and the chord are retained. The bow is narrow and strongly arched, lenticular in cross section and decorated with a ridge along the spine. The rest of the bow, the foot and the catchplate are missing.

An incomplete and very worn cast copper-alloy key, probably of Medieval date (c. AD 1200-1400). Only part of the circular-sectioned stem and triangular bit survives. The stem is broken at the non-bit end and tapers to a rounded point. The stem thickens towards the bit. The bit projects at 90 degrees from the stem and is solid in compistion. The entire object very worn and abraded. The patina is light green.
The key measures 20.9mm long. The stem is a maximum of 2.7mm thickness. The bit is 8.1mm wide and 2.3mm thick. The key weighs 1.41 grams.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle plate of Medieval date. It is rectangular, with two holes which held integral lugs, one of which is misisng. There is moulding around the outside of the plate. A third integral lug is in situ at the break end of the plate.
Without the buckle frame it is difficult to date more precisely than c.AD 1250-1500.
