A complete copper-alloy Roman probable furniture fitting or handle. The object consists of a decorative knob comprising a lower hemispherical section encircled by a pair of fine grooves at its lower end and a extending from the centre of its upper face a spool-shaped section, followed by a small hemispherical knop at the apex. The lower face of the knob is flat and covered with iron corrosion - probably the remains of an attachment component.

An incomplete copper-alloy Roman trumpet brooch. It has a plain, expanded trumpet-shaped head. To the rear of this the pin fitting is heavily corroded and missing. At the top rear of the head is a short projection, which is either the remains of an integral headloop or supported a loose wire head-loop originally. A complete Iron Age to Roman copper-alloy Colchester brooch dating to circa AD 25-60. The head consists of short, narrow wings, rectangular in section. Emerging from the top is the forward facing hook, now flattened and resting on the bow. Half of the spring mechanism survives, consisting of four coils. The bow is plano-convex in section and tapers into a pointed foot.

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy bell-shaped stud/furniture fitting dating to circa AD 43-410. It is circular in plan and sub-rectangular in section. The top face is circular and concave with a small central conical raised boss. Emerging from the bottom is circular platform with straight sides and a flat base. The remains of an iron rectangular-sectioned shank project from the base. That it was iron indicates it would have been a shank of Allason Jones Type 1.
Bell-shaped studs are noted to be poorly understood but possibly used as furniture fittings on doors…
