An incomplete Roman copper-alloy bell-shaped stud/furniture fitting dating to circa AD 43-410. The bell-shaped terminal is circular in plan whilst the shank is rectangular in plan. The outer face of the terminal is concave with a small central conical raised boss. Emerging from the bottom of the terminal is a circular-sectioned neck which is decorated with three moulded transverse grooves running the circumference. An incomplete copper-alloy Roman miniature goat figurine. The animal is depicted with a short tail, long, wavy hair flowing to either side of the body, a long neck and two long, straight, pointed horns. Some details such as they eyes and hair are outlined with gooves. Each pair of legs is joined and there is a small amount damage to the rear legs with the outer tip of each one missing.
