The coin is an imperfect circle due to wear around its edge and a crescent shaped chip impacting its legend.
The coin is a uniform brown colour and there is some wear to its inscriptions on both its obverse and reverse.
The coin obverse depicts a yolk representing Ferdinand and an inscribed letter ‘B’ which indicates that it was minted in Burgos mint, Spain. The obverse legend has wear and damage, but likely would have read: ‘FERNANDVS·ET·ELISABET’ which translates to ‘Ferdinand a…

An incomplete clipped, worn and damaged half real coin of Ferdinand V and Isabella I of Spain from the reign of the Reyes Catolicos (1469-1504), Likely issued between 1475 and 1504. The coin is heavily worn, cracked and bent. Uncertain mint, though the mark appears to be an A above a grid, possibly representing a portcullis or a griddle.
