Obverse: crowned bust facing: Legend: + GVILELMVSCOMES. Reverse: long cross pattee with three pellets in each angle: Legend: MOn/ETA/VET/VILE. Measurements: diameter: 15.35mm; thickness; 0.64mm and weight: 0.56g.

A very worn and slightly clipped 14th-century silver medieval penny, a continental imitation of sterling type issued by William of Namur (1337-1391 AD), struck at Namur (c. 1348 - 1391 AD; Mayhew type 361a). Within the Mayhew type 361 pennies, the 361a is closest to this example as it too features a misaligned crown and initial cross on the obverse face.
