Diameter: 22.03mm, Thickness: 0.59mm, Weight: 1.6g The coin is missing minor portions of its outer flan, both faces are heavily abraded with repeated incised grooves, with the obverse being entirely obscured. An incomplete and worn post medieval silver groat or halfgroat of Mary I (1553-1558). C.f. North (1991) Vol II, p. 126, no. 1960-1961. Obverse is completely worn but possibly would have had a crowned bust left. Small annular mark visible on the obverse. Reverse is also completely worn, possibly had the legend VERITAS TEMPORIS FILIA and a long cross fourchée over a royal shield. Partial remains of a line of the cross visible and the 'T' in the legend.
