Description : Obverse: a porcupine facing left with crown above, two pellets above porcupine level with base of crown, +LV.D.G.[FRAN].REX.SICIL.IHL., initial mark crown (probably). Reverse: Short Cross Fleuretty. Legend: [+MLI.DVX.ASTENSIS.Q.DNS]. Initial mark crown (probably).
Measurements : diameter 16.7mm, thickness 0.6mm and weight 0.7g.

A post-medieval French gold Ecu d'or Soleil du Dauphiné of Louis XII of France (1498-1515), probably Duplessy 654. Ref: Duplessy 1999.
The coin is possibly lightly clipped with parts of the inscription only partially visible.
Obverse: field quartered with arms of France (3 lys) and Dauphine (dolphin bowed with a purse in its mouth), LVDOVICVS : DEI : GRACIA : FRAnCORV : REX. K. Reverse: triple stranded cross fleuretty, XPS : VINnCIT : XPS : REGnAT : XPS : IMPERAT (Christ lives, Christ reigns, Christ commands) .

A gold ducat of Genoa, under Louis XII of France (1498-1515), dating 1499-1507.
The coin has been purposefully folded to form a triangle with the obverse of the coin on the outer face and the reverse enclosed with only the central cross visible. The coin depicts a Castello on the obverse and a cross pattee on the reverse.
The obverse insciption reads:: +FRANC.EC.TIAN.DVIVRE
