A French post-medieval silver possible douzain of Henry IV of France (1589-1610). The coin is now in two pieces, in profile bent into an 'S' shape (and broken along one fold). It perhaps had a secondary use as a love token. Carl Savage comments that the coin is too worn for a more accurate identification as both legends and the obverse are lost through wear.

Copper alloy counterfeit of a silver douzain de Dauphine of Henri III (1574-1589) or Henri IV (1589-1610) of France, both of whose douzains had the reverse cross with two lis and two crowns in the angles, and an 'H' on either side of the shield on the obverse of the coin. A struck silver French Post Medieval douzain by Henri IV in the name of Charles X, dating 1589-1610. The coin is missing much of the edge, obscuring the legend; both sides are also extremely worn making it difficult to read. The coin is bent from 3 o'clock to 7 o'clock on the obverse. It measures 20.8 mm DIA and weighs 1.2 g. A similar coin can be seen on the database IOW-777B87 and IOW-14D986 Although Charles X died in 1590, the Ligueurs continued to coin in his name until 1598.
