A damaged early-medieval silver halfpenny of Ceolwulf II of Mercia (874-879), cross-and-lozenge type, London Style (with Portrait-Quatrfoil-type drapery), moneyer: Eanred? (inscription: EA/NR[ ]), mint: London (probably). Halfpennies were not previously recorded for this issue and the diameter of 14mm demonstrates that it is a halfpenny.
