A silver Early Medieval coin; a sceat of Alchred (or Alhred) of Northumbria dating from AD 765 - 774.  Reverse depicts a fantastic quadruped facing right with a cross below. Mint of Northumbria. See North number 179. Diameter 12.1mm; thickness 1.3mm and weight 1.20g. A good parallel is EMC number : 2012.0041.
