A complete struck/ hammered copper alloy billian tetradrachm, minted in Alexandria, Egypt by Probus during the second regnal year of his reign between AD 276-7 (diameter: 19.5mm; thickness: 4mm; weight: 6.7g). The coin is in a slightly worn but good condition. Ref: Milne, J, G, 1933, 'University of Oxford: Ashmolean Museum: Catalogue of Alexandrian Coins', page 109, ref nos 4539-4544 (particularly ref no 4540).
