Copper alloy radiate of Probus, (AD 276-282), dating to c. AD 282 (Reece Period 14). Obv: IMP C PROBVS P F AVG; Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind. Rev: RESTITVT ORBIS; Female presenting wreath to emperor holding globe and sceptre. Mint of Sisca, Ninth Series. Mintmark: (X?)II // XXI. The numeral between the figures appears to be XII, but this does not work as an officina mark. II // XII is recorded for RIC 731 and Gloucester no. 1593. It could well be that the X is a die-engraver’s error.
