An AE Roman radiate of Probus, (AD 276-282), dating to c. AD. 282 (Reece Period 14), COMES AVG, Minerva standing left, holding olive-branch and spear and resting left hand on shield. Mint of Lyon, Eighth Series. RIC V, pt 2, p. 26, no. 65; Gloucester Hoard (CHRB XIII), p. 67, cf. no. 949. There does not appear to be an officina letter in the exergue, which is a known variety.
The coin has a mid-green patina with brown staining.
