A bronze coin (denomination B) of Antiochus IV dating to the period 169 to 168BC. There is considerable debate as to whether these were struck in Egypt or Syria.
Obverse: Radiate, diademed head of Antiochus IV right
Reverse: Eagle standing right on thunderbolt.
Reverse legend: BASILEVS ANTIOCHOS in two lines on right; THEOS EPIPHANOES in two lines on right (transliteration from Ancient Greek)
