A slightly corroded late Iron Age Bronze unit. The level of corrosion on the obverse makes exact identification difficult but this is tentatively identified as an 'Uncertain Northern Bronze type', British Museum no. 2450-2460 (R. Hobbs; 1996; pp. 147); Van Arsdell type 1615-1 (1989; pp. 351). It measures 12.6mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 0.79g.

A complete gold uninscribed stater of Late Iron Age date (c. 100 BC - c. 43 AD). The stater is very worn. The obverse is plain and pitted and the reverse has a geometric design. The coin can probably be classified as an Early Uninscribed "O" Gold-"Geometric" Type. It is similar in some respects to others in the British Museum Collection. Worn and in places corroded coin, very probably a cast Thurrock type potin coin of first half of 1st century BC. Oval flan surviving 19.5 x 13.3mm, c. 3.5mm thick. These are relatively common on both sides of the Thames Estuary, and an unusual group is also recorded in NE Suffolk, but this is uncommon in the SW of the county although they might be expected to circulate through the Trinovantian area.

Struck copper alloy coin (on a cast flan), copying a common type of Massilia (Marseilles). It is almost certainly struck on the Continent, most likely in Gaul. The earliest prototype issues of larger types date to the 3rd century BC (Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum, Copenhagen, Vol 43, no.731ff - 26-15mm in diameter). However, there were later issues of smaller diameter (c. 15mm) in the 2nd to 1st centuries BC which are also attributed to Marseilles (Ibid, no. 809ff). It measures 15.9mm long, by 12.6mm wide and 3.2mm thick; it weighs 1.26g.
