A silver early medieval penny of the Vikings minted in the name of St Peter of York (c. 905-927). Phase 3, Sword/Cross issue (North 555), minted in York, c. 921-927. The reverse legend differs from the example recorded in North (1994, 116). North says "There is considerable variation in the legends with those on later coins often very blundered".
