Gold coin. Inscribed stater of the Corieltauvi, VEP CORF issue of Haselgrove Period III [3] Phase 8, AD10-40, ABC no. 1854. The gold is of a pinkish tint. Obverse description: Wreath of billets in chevron arrangement, crossed by bar with crescent at either end, a rosette around a pellet enclosed by each crescent; comma shaped devices flanking ends of wreath. Reverse description: Celticised and fragmented horse left, pellets below tail, legend above and below horse. Reverse inscription: VEP / CORF Diameter: 19.4mm, Weight: 5.19gms, die axis: probably 9
