An Iron age Silver unit of the Southern Region / Atrebates and Regini, dating to the period c.20 BC-AD 10, Tincomarus Cross Lion type. Obverse: Cross with central pellet, TINC in the angles of the cross. Reverse: Lion left, bucranium below. ABC p. 69, no. 1124. The apparent double cross on the obverse type is likely the result of the coin being mis-struck or more plausibly a re-engraved die. Similar examples exhibiting this feature are recorded on the PAS database, e.g. PUBLIC-087437 (possibly same dies?), CCI-950624, CCI-950735, etc.
