A copper-alloy Roman sestertius. The coin is very worn and identification of the emperor depicted is problematic. The apparent lack of a beard may indicate a Flavian emperor of the late first century AD, although this is somewhat uncertain. The reverse is entirely worn.

A copper-alloy Roman coin, probably an as, pierced for reuse as a button. The emperor on the coin is uncertain as it is worn and in poor condition, and three deliberate perforations have been drilled into the centre of the coin. The coin dates from the early Roman period, from circa 43-260 AD. The date of its reuse as a button is uncertain.
