A copper alloy coin of the Roman Empire. Possible a Dupondius or As. Both faces are the illegible so the emperor and reverse type, and therefore the exact identification and date of this coin, are unknown. In general, Dupondius and As date to the Augustan Currency era from AD43- c.250/260 (Reece periods 1-12).
Both faces of the coin are heavily corroded so it not possible to see any of the original surface details. Both face have a mottled green patina. On one side where part of the surface is missing at the edge, the core of the coin appears grey. The edges are worn.
